Porsche teams arrived at Watkins Glen International for the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen following dismal performances on the Detroit street course. The legendary and challenging course at Watkins Glen would, once again, reward clean driving and punish poor decisions.

Porsche Parade this year presented an interesting challenge: How to accommodate nearly 2,300 primary and co-entrants, and more than 1,000 Porsches in Lake Placid? The two-lane, twisting highways had small towns and summer cabins dotting the roads, while the Olympic Conference Center, two attached ice rinks, and the speed skating oval next door played centralizing roles.
